Evaluation

2. I believe our media product heavily portrays difference in social groups. This is because our title sequences concept revolves around the difference between two social classes. Working class and middle class. We established these differences through a number of scenes consisting in difference in clothing, representation and dialogue. A example is we presented a character in clothes which portrayed her as wealthy or rich and was presented as neatly dressed and prim. To contrast we presented another character in clothing which did not necessarily denote wealth. Therefore we used a scene which was strong in conveying this characters underlying working class background by having her steal clothes from a shop. We also use a scene with a prop of a eviction notice to also convey that she is desperate and does not have a lot of money.

3.I believe that Walt Disney, which we had previously used or paramount pictures would distribute our media product. This is because they have created numerous films similar to our title sequence with similar plots and conventions included such as the typical popular girl in high school. Examples include ice princess by Walt Disney and mean girls by paramount pictures.

4. The audience for our media product would be teenage girls aged 13-18. This is because the film is revolved around girl ideologies and also would be aimed at teenagers rather than middle aged women because it is set within college.

5. We attempted to do a survey which was creative in attracting a audience because they gave us information into what they like about high school dramas and tried to include these conventions to appeal to the audience.

6. I have learnt a huge amount about technologies during the editing of our title sequence. Before I was unaware on how to create music in garageband, credits in motion and editing in final cut pro. However, now I am able to use it but would like to be able to complete tasks a lot faster. I have learnt about positing on camara shots and what shots work best in different scenarios. A example is using a high shot to make the popular girl look superior.
