Second filming session

After the second filming session we has filmed Zoes films. However we had to overcome the difficulty of holding the stig rig which we then realised made shots jerky or jumpy and were not able to use for editing.

First filming session

After the first filming session we felt happy with the results as we had completed two whole scenes but believed the framing of the shots could have been improved..

We initially chose this outfit to portray Jessica as a typical popular girl.

This is a prop of a handbag. A typical prop used in a variety of teen drama films

I had to post a picture as screen shot on the laptop I am using was not working.

37 - brand the blog

As a group we decided to use a variety of colours to make it visually eye catching and also more creative and interesting to look at. We used a mixture of pink and purple more significantly because it is relatable and adds to the theme of our sub genre of high school drama.

51 - Final progress

1. Consequently I do not believe I completed my blog to the best standard. Halfway through blogging my laptop screen broke, the lighting broke, and that's where my blogging began to steadily decline. To begin with, I was completing blogs to their deadlines but as my laptop broke I found it hard to get access at home and even attempted to blog from a iphone but it was difficult and I couldn't embed videos or pictures from a smartphone. However, considering I have not blogged to the best of my abilities I hoped to include a number of different softwares such as emazes and prezzis. I also included a variety of photos to make the blog posts more visually entertaining.

2. I believe that my blog posts lack aspects of production. This is because I couldn't include blog posts on motion or garageband because I couldn't access it at home. I should have completed it in college but had difficulties because my time was taken up by having to re-shoot a number of times either because of the initial plot not making sense, weather conditions or the lighting was poor. I do believe I have included a good amount on research and also planning by trying to include extra extension blog posts with my own ideas. My downfall was time management and not finding time to complete blogs and therefore is a learning curve.

3. There was gaps in my blogging tasks. There was a large gap between planning blog posts and production. I believe it was because I should have overcome difficulties of finding the time to do them rather than blaming it on having to edit and re-shoot more than any other group.

4. I would change my attitude towards blogging. This is because I should have taken it a lot more seriously in the beginning and should have realised that they are significant to improving my overall media grade.

This is what I created in picklr. It is the initial font we wanted to use in our title sequence but was hard to find and embed. It has been used most significantly in Mean Girls a popular teenage drama and so we wanted to include this into our title sequence.

Revisions of pitch - 40

The feedback from our teacher made me think of several new ideas for the film. This includes using a scene in which the popular girl enters the college with three girls to make her seem more superior and also that she demands her friend holds her bag to make her come across as 'bitchy'. Also to show the difference in wealth I thought of the idea of her friends asking Jessica (popular girl) to buy a concert ticket but Jessica has to decline because secretly she can not afford it.

This image represents the protagonists superior nature as her friends surround her and walk side by side at all times.

Wix website - 44

I attempted at making a wix website to promote our film and include the video of the film and the information about the crew. However I found it very difficult to use as I haven't used this software before and even with help on websites I still couldn't complete the website.
