Reflection on Filming Session 3

Our third filming session, has been a lot better than our other two session, I feel has made a lot of progress so far, and shown that we've listened and acted in Marissa's feedback on; more varying shot types, and focusing on the head space in each shot.

Whilst filming, we came up with a few more ideas that could make our opening sequence better, and time effective. We decided to add a scene showing the popular girl character (Amy O'Brennan) leaving from her estate to go to college. I think our social-economic background that we tried to establish will be shown clearer to our audience, rather than our initial idea of using a voice over. Also because we had to change so many of our previous shots that we filmed during our second filming session, we decided to save time by filming on Wednesday rather than waiting till the weekend, this is so we would have something to edit and hand in for our rough cut. This meant that we had to change our original costume Ideas.

High Angle Shot

Over the Shoulder Shot

This scene was the hardest to shoot, because we had to film her coming down the stairs whilst still checking the head space. Every time we turned the camera to get the headspace right, it either came out shaky or the head space wasn't right. In the end we decided to shoot it a couple times, each time stopping the camera at each mark, and then edit it together.
